Dekranasda Central Java UMKM Expo Makes You “Charming”

Taking part in the Dekranasda Central Java UMKM Expo 2022 in Makassar, made a number of MSMEs addicted. The reason is, the exhibition makes their products known and gets new buyers. Syahrial Aman for example. The owner of Syams Indonesian Handicraft from Juwana, Pati Regency, did not expect that participation in the exhibition held at Phinisi Point Mall Makassar would boost sales of his products.

In fact, he used it to open his network as widely as possible. Syahrial said that his luck started during the business matching which was held before the exhibition opened. A number of buyers are starting to look at bag products made from plastic waste. “As soon as it was opened, my bag immediately sold out. I brought three sacks, they immediately ran out. “Until I send more goods from Pati,” he said happily, when met on Sunday (23/10/2022).

He added that not only direct sales, Syahrial actually took advantage of this moment to look for resellers and agents. The business was successful, many people wanted to become resellers, there were even fashion designers who specially ordered bags in large quantities. He didn’t expect that bags made from waste would actually be in demand in Makassar. Indeed, the price of the bag is quite affordable, namely IDR 50 thousand to IDR 250 thousand, depending on the model.

This increase in sales has made the startup, which only started its business in 2019, excited. Moreover, to produce bags, he mobilized hundreds of women in five sub-districts, namely Jaken, Pucakwangi, Winong, Jakenan and Trangkil, who in fact found it difficult to find work. There are also craftsmen who are disabled. “Hopefully events like the Dekranasda Central Java UMKM Expo will continue to be held, involving MSMEs. Yes, this makes me want to join again. “Yes, of course if you make money you will be addicted,” said Syahrial.
